Commitment to Electrification

On September 11, 2018 at the Los Angeles Forum on Clean Transportation, Mayor Garcetti launched the Climate Mayors EV Purchasing Collaborative where municipal fleets from around the U.S. announced a large-scale commitment to electrification. With the leadership of founding cities, this announcement will help spur national transition to electrification, improving air quality, driving innovation, and helping America maintain its commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement.

Through this process our team is coordinating a highly competitive contract aimed at saving your fleet time and money by combining the buying power of more than 50,000 government, education, and non-profit organizations. The vehicles in your fleet need to meet the use needs of your company and staff, and the Cooperative EV Purchasing Collaborative is designed with products and services to fit your needs.

You can learn about other fleets who have started the transition to electric vehicles through the information on our resources page.

Lastly, if you haven’t already, make sure your city joins the hundreds of mayors around the U.S. who are working together to keep America’s commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement. Visit to learn more.
